These photographic works reflect my ongoing artistic inquiry on how my hometown Udonthani ,a former strategic town where US air force and radar bases were set up during the Cold War period, has fabricated its present physio-geographical existence and through such discourse how the area has been constructed and defined itself.

My continuing research and curiosity have extensively led to several trips around Northeast of Thailand where most of US military and facilities were base during t he Vietnam War and Secret War in Laos. I have also been visiting similar sites in Laos that were part of the Wars.

These set of photographs also address my interest in materiality of things and their metaphysical meanings, especially those that left in the landscape where once concealed and classified during the clandestine war but now revealed. Objects in these pictures are mysteriously speaking out beyond their existent in the space while rendering themselves subjective.

Without overstating their political narratives, these photographs seem to be stripped out of such historical context therefore become displacement objects that evolve into a kind of site specific sculptures in their own right.
